Is it a fact or a fiction? Coffee myths have been around for a long time, fueling the skeptics to continue leading the race against coffee aficionados. If you are a fan of coffee drinking, you need not to worry of the associated risks that are always reiterated by anti-coffee skeptics. In fact, the facts suggest that drinking coffee outweighs the associated risks.

Myth #1: Coffee Can Cause Serious Cardio Problems

On the other hand, many doctors prescribed coffee to promote healthy digestion process since it is a diuretic. Drinking 2-3 cups of coffee a day promotes a natural way of “moving things along” down the colon. In fact, drinking coffee can reduce 25% risk rate of developing a colon cancer.

Myth #4: Coffee is Detrimental for the Overall Health

This is the most conclusive myth that many naysayers are pointing. In its totality, of course, everything done excessively is detrimental to the overall health of a person. However, daily intake of coffee is recommended only up to 4 cups to ensure optimum health benefits and to prevent some minor negative health problems. There are various healthy ingredients in the coffee that makes this myth very unrealistic and unacceptable. Flavonoids, antioxidants and caffeine for example once taken in moderation provide promising results for a healthy lifestyle.
